God knows what is hiding, in that world of little consequence ...

The best pictures are the ones that come and find you, rather than the ones you go looking for don't you think? I have found a new place to people watch - Whisby Nature Reserve. I swear, I have no idea what these people spend an age looking at. It must have been good, they had all the necessary equipment for recording their sightings... Me? pen, bit of paper... and a rather nice Latte :-)

This is a great sketch, Stephen. I really want to know what they're all looking at!

What a great composition (and sketch!)

Were you able to draw this without taking a photo of the people? Wow. It's really good.

Very beautiful!!

Your drawing is just stunning. The local preserve just had a butterfly count. Maybe your watchers are working on the same project.

Beautiful! I absolutely love the expressions of the faces, and this also reminds me of people at the racetrack for some reason

Your drawings and paintings are just wonderful, Stephen! I agree about letting the subjects come to you, and I love people watching too! :)

Gotta be bird watching! Lovely sketch!

They're bird watching...I've done the very same thing many times. Birds are completely fascinating to a large percentage of the population, second only to stamp/coin collecting in this country.

I've spend many special hours and traveled many miles to see these creatures.

Thanks for all your comments guys. Jesse, Hope you didn't think I was poking fun at birdwatchers! I go to the wildlife sanctuary for the same reason, this group were focussed in on something that I could not see! They really caught my interest and stayed there long enough to grab some sketches.

This is such a great sketch! And I'm very impressed that you did it from life too, not from a photograph! Wow!

Stephen, No offense taken, I love how you've captured the intensity of the watchers. I'm used to having puzzled looks on faces when I tell them why I travel...the eyes usually roll back in their heads or they look at me like I'm wearing two heads and want to distance themselves from me. HA
