I've been looking at a way of incorporating the detail of ink pen with something a bit more sketchy, I've tried marker pens but it doesn't work for me. I found a really nice soft black pencil that smudges nicely without going haywire like charcoal does! I love playing with pens and stuff :-)Monday, 1 June 2009
30/31 - A quick sketch # 2 ...
I've been looking at a way of incorporating the detail of ink pen with something a bit more sketchy, I've tried marker pens but it doesn't work for me. I found a really nice soft black pencil that smudges nicely without going haywire like charcoal does! I love playing with pens and stuff :-)

a quick sketch?! wow, it really shows how skilled you are that can knock something like this off so casually! Mucking around with different materials is fun isn't it? and i think often inspires us to produce different stuff from usual too.
Often times quicker is better... Love it.
Yes...charcoal does leave my sketches smudgy too...but they give a wonderful effect...I bought a Koh-I-noor pencil which is amazing...and allows my sketches to pour like water...
This has great texture and feel.A success.
