It could possibly be an EDM challenge, draw something that tastes disgusting but some people like. I keep trying to like it but it just isn't happening!
Well I think the drawing of the bottle is awesome. I love how you showed the curves of the glass. What is Marmite? Is it some sort of nutritional supplement? I guess we don't have it in the US.
Hi Winna and Carolyn. I'm moving to the States! It's yeast extract, Aussies have something similar - Vegamite. It's a brown gloppy substance you can spread on toast or add to cooking, smells nice but really strong tasting. I'll stick to honey on my toast :-)
The bottle looks perfect. What was the medium that you used? Hmm and yes, it would be an interesting EDM. Why not pass on the subject so all of us could try our hands on it? What do you say?
Love the drawing, but hate Marmite! In fact it's made from yeast and is (or was originally, I'm not sure if it still is) a by-product from the yeast used in brewing beer. A by product - why would anyone want to eat that?? Yuck!
Beautful bottle - lovely glossy glass - and a very yummy treat, IMHO!!! :o) I just LURV Marmite - (and Vegemite!!!) You either love it or you hate it - with a passion!
You may not like Marmite, but you can certainly draw it! Lovely lines and colour. I like Marmite and Vegemite and Promite!- an acquired taste obviously. I grew up on the stuff. Vegemite sandwiches for school lunches
Brewer's yeast in tablet form is something that is often fed to dogs and cats to improve their coats. It sounds like the animal version of marmite. It's supposed to be very healthy, but I don't think I would like it in the gloppy form that marmite is in.
Well quit trying it! You made a great drawing of the bottle. Reading all the comments here I guess you know what you ought to do... send it to Jules or Alyssa!
What a stunning drawing. i love it (and i love Marmite too) but i don't think you can force yourself to like it, but good on you for trying...we have a 50/50 split in our house (my eldest and i adore it, my hubby and youngest can't stand it) This is a lovely drawing which would look good framed and up in a kitchen (though not yours as it would probably put you off your food!)
I wonder why cats love Marmite. It has such a strong taste that it's easy to feed them pills when you cover them in Marmite first. Good drawing by the way.

beautiful rendition! I don't even know what it is, I just love the wonderful contrasts and details

Looks like an ink bottle - no wonder it tastes bad. ;-) Yeast extract...yuck. Might be good on haggis.
Perfectly drawn bottle regardless of the goop in it.
I hate it, Stephen.
Marmite, that is. I love the drawing. Another winner.
Great drawing! Life is too short to eat stuff you don't like, IMHO.

LOL, Why don't you like Marmite?! You know the answer, of course. Still, the reflections on the jar are smiply brilliant.

sweet! I really love this sketch. You are certainly skillful in any media! Like how you conveyed the reflections on the glass!

But I love Marmite.... okay I lied ^^ I love Bovril actually. It's a great sketch!

Good drawing by the way.
