Let it snow!

I've just finished a commission for Rebecca. It's acrylic on canvas 36"x24". I took the red letter box idea from my previous post to add a dash of colour. Hope she likes it!

LOVE the dash of red! Seems like you have spent some happy hours painting away ... wheyhey!

I will really have to go overseas to experience snow again. My part of the world is utterly snow-free. The last time I experienced snow was as a 5yo kid living in France.

Hope you're enjoying the painting weekend, Steve!

(Oh, BTW, I downloaded and listened to Johnny Cash's 'Hurt' ... that's really dark music, that is.)

LOVE that. It's so simple but so beautiful. And you know I like long shadows.... You know how, like, Christmas is coming up and that? Oh never mind.... :D

Fantastic light, perspective and composition. Very atmospheric. The letterbox is a great addition.

Beautiful! One of the things I love is the blending of sky and snow on the left hand side of the canvas.

Simply serene...no snow in my little corner of the world these days either...this was a lovely nostalgic look back for me.
