When I get home ...

I'm not sure I have shared this painting... it might look familiar as I used some of it for my site logo. I used bathroom tile adhesive mixed with acylic paint to create a bit of texture, it's not fell off the canvas yet!

I love all your paintings but this one has to be my favorite with its combination of rolling hills and lovely colors.

Fantastic piece! I am glad your creativity expanded to the usage of materials as well... and I do agree that bathroom tile adhesive will last a LONG TIME ^^

I'm so glad you shared this with us! The texture is just wonderful, and I like how you used the same color in the sky that's in the field. It's really a fine painting! nancy

Love this painting.... the idea for putting the texture on the canvas is really clever - is that a commonly used method or one you made up yourself? It's a lovely blustery scene, I like it a lot!

Thanks for all your lovely comments. Much appreciated! I've done a couple of paintings using tile adhesive. I found that if you mask off an area, apply the adhesive with a pallete knife and while the adhesive is still damp, remove the tape - you get a nice painting area. Thanks to Leslie P for picking up on the blustery bit... I did the sketching for this while sat on the North Yorkshire steam railway. I loved the way the train made the long grass swirl as you sped past. A nice way to spend the day :-)

I really like the color scheme in this painting, and I think it was very creative to think of the tile adhesive for texture. What is the size of it?

Hi, thinking of using tile adhesive. Concerned about paint reacting and/or stability.... Four years in how are they doing? Sally
