I watched an hour of the best TV in a long time. BBC4 showed an hour of Seasick Steve! It was wonderful. So I got up this morning (sounds like the opening of a blues song!) and painted. Not the best painting ever but it made me get my paints out and do something so thank you Seasick!

It is a very nice painting. Have you ever looked a Freud's paintings. Lucian Freud. Yours of course has great color and motion.

Oh dear. Don't know where the first comment went to which the audio link is a follow up. I was saying that your awesome painting reminds me of long time Canadian folk singer Valdy in his younger days. The guy who is now well into his sixties still tours and has made over 60 world tours in his lifetime.
I really like the angle you choose to paint this from!!!
It makes it feel as if your there watching him perform on stage in person.

Sherrie - I am a fanatical follower of Lucien Freud - I saw an exhibition of his in Manchester many years ago, it was amazing
Pippa - I like painting with dark backgrounds, I love making the light come through out of it, if you know what I mean.
Suzanne - I got up really early and had that compulsion to paint that I wish I could turn on like a tap ...
