Down in the tube station at midnight...

We were in London last weekend in the snow. I took some photographs of William on the tube, even though it was cramped, he still managed to read his book!

And the truth never frays a good yarn...

I started painting this some years ago, it was from some sketches and photos in the cafe at Pickering Station on the North Yorkshire steam railway. It's run by volunteers and this chap sat down opposite with his brew. After painting it I put it away and dug it out every now and again to see if there was anything I could do with the window.  It was flat and didn't 'do' anything. Finally hit on the idea of condensation and created that little space where the window has been wiped too see out of.  I'm hoping it works better now...

Choo's life

Oooh! Bad song link!  A friend is moving on, how best to wish the best for the future than to celebrate the wonderful shoes she has worn to bring joy and envy to the team. Not me, i'm not spending more than thirty quid unless I have to, they have to be comfortable and last at least three years and then i'll buy another pair. I have a period of around two weeks where I own two pairs... who needs more than that???

Tea in the park ...

I was in London last weekend and in Kensington Gardens, I popped over to see Liz and Phil, you know them, she's the one who likes bling and he's the one who keeps putting his foot in it at parties... you do..live in the big house...  never mind.  I called in at the Serpentine Gallery and coming back out found this wonderful tea shop, Just what I needed, a brew!
